Volunteer Opportunities

Feeding Assistant
Sometimes, assistance is needed with eating. While residents eat meals in the early morning, at lunchtime and early in the evening, volunteers may select to help feed a resident as often as they wish – once a week or daily…it’s up to you.

Recreation Program Assistant
Seashore Gardens Living Center has been recognized for its unique programs and activities. Morning and afternoon activities take place within various areas of the Living Center, 7 days per week. From arts and crafts to computer lessons, to decorating for an upcoming party to assisting with a mock trial, volunteers are always needed in the Recreation Department. With so many programs, this is a great way for a busy person to become a volunteer!

Gift Shop Volunteer
The Seashore Gardens Living Center Gift Shop, the Sand Dollar, located in the boardwalk of the Living Center carries an array of unique cards and gifts which include beautiful porcelain dolls, jewelry, Ahava products, Judaic merchandise and more. The Sand Dollar is scheduled to be open 6 days per week (Sunday-Thursday). Volunteers are needed for morning and afternoon shifts.

Holiday Volunteer
Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and New Year’s are busy times for many. Seashore Gardens Living Center is in need of volunteers to assist with holiday celebrations throughout the year. Community volunteers join together to assist with distributing gifts, decorating and bringing residents to and from activities.

Seashore Stroller
Interested in spending time with a resident for some casual conversation, and a stroll along the boardwalk. We’ve got the perfect opportunity for you…it’s the Seashore Stroller Program. Volunteers select a day that’s suitable for their schedule and take a resident on a stroll. During the warm weather, the outdoor walking path and courtyards provide a beautifully landscaped background.
