Staff Members from Seashore Gardens Living Center

Receive Continuing Education Scholarships

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ--November 8, 2004-Staff members Alysia Price, BSW, CSW Director of Social Services and Susan Fascia, LPN of Seashore Gardens Living Center received scholarships from the 2004 Frontline Professionals Scholarship Program sponsored by NJANPHA, the New Jersey Association of Non Profit Homes for the Aging.  Price and Fascia, both of Mays Landing, earned the scholarships as a result of their dedication and commitment to the field of aging services.  The scholarships will be used to further their training and education in the field of long term care.  The Frontline Professionals Scholarship Program is designed to provide educational opportunities to employees of senior care facilities throughout New Jersey.  Price and Fascia received two of the four scholarships that were available to nursing home employees in New Jersey.  The scholarships were presented at NJANPHA’s Membership Meeting on November 8th in Princeton, NJ. 

 

Price has been with the Living Center for four years and is currently enrolled at Monmouth University in Long Branch, NJ.  She is set to graduate in May of 2005 with her Masters degree in Social Work.  Fascia is currently attending Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, NJ for her degree as a Registered Nurse.  She has been with the Living Center for 22 years and will graduate in May of 2006.
