Summer Sizzler Youth Program Scholarship The Summer "Sizzlers" are teens between the ages of 14-16 that
work/volunteer with the Recreation Department at Seashore Gardens Living
Center from June to August. For every hour the Sizzlers work, they volunteer
an hour. When working, Sizzlers paint residents’ nails,
take residents for walks, and help with general office duties. Volunteer
activities consist of decorating for themed-parties, watering plants,
and assisting with arts and crafts. The summer program provides an opportunity
for teenagers to get involved in the community while learning basic work
ethics and clarifying perceptions of the elderly. For more information on
the Summer Sizzler Program, click here.
Scholarship per Sizzler - $1,500
Seashore Gardens Foundation Gala
The 2008 Gala took place on August 6th to honor Immediate Past
Chairman of the Seashore Gardens Living Center Board of Directors, Ted
Rich, and some of our finest local organizations for
their outstanding service to the community. The event, which featured elaborate food stations
and martini bar, live music,
and a silent auction, was a tremendous success in raising funds to
support health care services and recreational programs offered to the
residents at Seashore Gardens Living Center. For information about our
annual Gala, please contact the Office of Fund Development at
609-748-4614.
